— The Peach State Cadillac & LaSalle Club --
Welcome to Peach State Cadillac & LaSalle Club! We’re a regional affiliate of the Cadillac & LaSalle Club International. Over 7,000 members strong worldwide!
We’re a very friendly bunch but we don’t do regular meetings — that’s because we’re too busy cruising, picnicking and touring! We have something going almost every weekend for 11 months of the year. From February to December there are cruise-ins all around the metro ATL area. See the far right panel to get an idea of our meet-ups, cruise-ins, parades and more!
When you join Peach State Cadillac & LaSalle Club, you'll be clubbing with Cadillac Afficianados! We currently have 115 active members and 15 supporters from all over Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Alabama, North and South Carolina — and we all LOVE all Cadillacs! Our cars range in age from 1916 to the present. The most popular decades with us are the Fifties & Sixties (over 90!). We have 42 from the ’80s and ’90s and over 40 from ’49 and back. And 21 from 2000 to 2016!

Since we have many events going on throughout the year, you can enjoy many opportunities to show off your Cadillac! Come along as we visit the big time collectors’ showrooms around Georgia! Or come to one of our special events, like touring the Swan House or the Little White House in Warm Springs. There’s an Easter Parade in April, a 3-day driving tour in the Spring, and a 2-day tour in the Fall. We try to visit a concours in the Spring (Amelia Island) or Fall (Hilton Head). The CLC Grand National is a week in the Summer. In the Fall there’s the north Georgia apple orchards and drive-in movies, the Marist and Athens Classic Car Shows, the Oakland Cemetery Tour. At Christmas, we have a very stylish party with an exciting Cadillac auction and awards ceremony. February brings the annual Comstock Chili Cook-off. Great fun, beautiful cars and fabulous friends! Doug,
An 8 a.m. call from "Papa" George Celani started off this 245th Birthday of our great nation in grand style.
With permission to share, he began with his experience with Covid vaccines in the several weeks since we spoke.
His first shot went well; his second caused him to collapse to the floor and be transported to the hospital. Recovery
occurred in a couple of days; but another episode of unknown cause resulted in another brief stay a short time later.
But this morning, he sounded wonderful, felt great and was celebrating the 4th by calling a list of friends. It is a blessing
to have been called.
Most of our club will remember that he is remembered in the CLC Museum, researched, and sponsored by PeachState CLC.
A Detroit post WW-II resident, he put the truck driving skills learned with the Army in during the war to work in the Detroit area, and his goal in life was to drive for Cadillac. After all, his caravan said that one of the trucks transported the "Little Boy"
to the Enola Gay whose use in Japan resulted in surrender, saving millions of lives on both sides.
The opportunity came, and he was part of a team of drivers that collected Caddy parts from various manufacturing
locations in the region and delivered them to the Cadillac assembly plant. His record was and remains spotless and accident free.
Faye and I discovered him running the Candlelight Bed and Breakfast in Eufaula, AL., which they named. We were seeking a memento to auction at the Holiday Dinner fund raiser segment of the Annual Atlanta Country Club dinner meeting. Seeing a Ford item in a local antique shop, we inquired if there might be a Cadillac item. The manager said no, BUT the store owner sometimes kept things at home. Would we like her to call him? Yes!
When we arrived at the Inn, we learned "Papa" George's story, and he learned ours. This resulted in the donation of his original
Cadillac Fleet driver's vest, covered with badges of honor, and other items of unique memorabilia making his presence welcomed in the CLC Museum in Michigan as a stand-alone display.
On an Alabama cruise 2-3 years ago, we visited the Wellborn Muscle Car Museum in Alexander, AL, the Tuskegee Airmen's "Red Tail"Museum, and spent a wonderful weekend at the Lake Eufaula Alabama State Park on Lake Eufaula...or as Georgians refer to it,the Walter F. George Reservoir. As a former Georgian, even I prefer "Lake Eufaula". What a beautiful place. In the early story ofAmerica, this river was a major center of commerce to the inland agriculture areas of both states.
With appreciation to all those who kept our Country safe,
Roger and Faye Williams
